A fence is the same kind of job across the metro — measure the line, choose the material, set the posts, hang the gates — and the published ranges are the same reference point everywhere: from $10 to $20 per linear foot for chain link up to $30 to $50 per linear foot for aluminum or steel. Below is where requests are routed, by parish. For how a fence job is approached, see fence installation in Baton Rouge.

Permits
Ask your installer who pulls the permit. Whether one applies, and who handles it, is a question for the installer before the quote is signed — wherever in the metro the fence is going.
